88-year-old Bermudan Johnny Barnes spends six hours a day standing at the side of the road, telling people he loves them. And that’s it. There’s no gimmick. He does the same thing, five days a week, whatever the weather. No-one asked him to do it, and he doesn’t ask for anything in return. He doesn’t offer his love to particular individuals based on how deserving they might be. His love is straightforward, indiscriminate and extravagant. What an inspiration. He says:
We human beings gotta learn how to love one another. One of the greatest joys that can come to an individual is when you’re doing something and helping others.
