Gran just turned 92. She received various soaps as gifts, the biggest of which she has to hold with both hands (as you can see). She says it looks like “a pretty bomb”, a comment which, while chuckle-worthy, provides a useful insight into what constitutes an appropriate - or perhaps, inappropriate - gift for a wheelchair bound nonagenarian in a care home. If the adage “it’s the thought that counts” applies here - and I see no reason why it shouldn’t - then surely a bottle of shower gel might have been a better bet?
